Anyhoo, we met up with Ryan and Kiersten and they took us to the local Farmer's Market. They have a lot of fun stuff there... pastries, fresh veggies & fruit, clothes, jewelry but the most unique thing there... hula hoops!

As you can see, Kiersten looks like a pro... I'm still getting the hang of it. It's suppose to be a killer ab workout. Guess I need to practice.
At the market, I saw this plant holder and started to laugh. The water actually drips out of the bottom!!!!

Can we say MOO???

We got some locals to take some pictures of us at the market. Drew's holding a bag filled with our goodies.
After walking around the market, we went to a chocolate shop called Sweet Art. I've heard they have rockin chocolate truffles and I was on a mission to get a box for a friend.

Here is from the outside of the store, doesn't look like much on the inside and outside, but man oh man do they have kick butt chocolate. Drew and I shared a "Frog on a log". It's a mint chocolate frog on top of a chocolate dipped graham cracker... doesn't make your mouth water??? It was so good.
After downtown Bellingham, Ryan and Kiersten took us to Fairhaven which is only 5 min drive south of downtown Bellingham. It's a very cute neighborhood with small boutique shops and restaurants. Reminds me of the Greenlake neighborhood in Seattle. Very cute! In Fairhaven we found a candy store where I bought about 4lbs of salt water taffy (haha, our trip just sounds very sugary). Taffy is one of my favorite treats and they had unique flavors like Cinnamon Bun and Caramel Apple which I've never had. YUM!
We ended our day with an early dinner at the Chuckanut Brewery. After Ryan and Kiersten raved about the BBQ beef, Drew and I had to try it. Drew had the BBQ beef and we agree... HAVE IT!!! We highly recommend it!
Here's us headed back to home... and yes Drew is still looking at the road. His sunglasses make it look like he's starting at the camera. No animals or cars were hurt while we took this picture.
Thanks Ryan and Kiersten for an awesome day! Miss you guys already!!!
